Join us for our first ironman marathon league!
Urban Axes Durham is hosting its first Ironman Marathon League on Saturday, April 19th! In an Ironman Marathon League, throwers compete in two marathon leagues simultaneously, one Standard Rules marathon and one Premier Rules. The regular seasons of both leagues will be played at the same time, with league members throwing Premier and Standard matches throughout the day. After both regular seasons conclude, each league's playoffs will be thrown back-to-back, beginning with Premier Playoffs and ending with Standard Playoffs. Both a Standard and a Premier Ironman League Champion will be crowned!
Our Ironman Marathon League will offer more matches in a single day than any other Urban Axes event! Players will throw 5 matches an hour on average and will have two IATC Qualifying league seasons under their belt at the end of the day, all for only $200 + IATF League Fees. It's a great opporunity to practice and work on acheiving new milestones, especially for players preparing to compete at IATC!
Each player will throw 20 Standard Rules matches and 20 Premier Rules matches, followed by both Standard and Premier double elimination playoffs! We need a minimum of 12 members to run the marathon league, and everyone will make the playoffs! Practice is at 9:00am and matches begin at 9:30am, and we expect the day to wrap by 11:00pm with full numbers.
