12+ Facility

12+ facility. You must be 12 or older and accompanied by an adult 18 or older to enter this facility. Friday and Saturday nights after 5PM, all persons must be 21+ with valid photo ID to enter and throw.

No Cash

We are a cashless facility and accept debit or credit cards ONLY.

Attire

Closed toe shoes are required. It is helpful to have a shirt that allows you full range of motion for your arms.

Food + Drink

We offer complimentary drinks to all persons based on the length of your visit with us, including alcohol for our 21+ guests. This location is BYO food, soda and alcohol (beer and wine only, no hard liquor!). Catering is also available!

Urban Axes Austin's final weekend of business is Memorial Day weekend, and we're hosting TWO marathon leagues AND a Closing Party for our league members. Spend the day at Urban Austin one last time and celebrate a great venue with an even better community!

Saturday, 5/24 will feature a Big Axe Marathon League and Sunday, 5/25 will feature a Standard Marathon League, followed by our Closing Party at 6 PM. The Closing Party is open to everyone regardless of marathon league participation (plus ones included!), and we encourage everyone to bring a dish for a potluck to end all potlucks! The party will feature karaoke, games, prizes, a crawfish boil, and more, and we hope to get as many league members together as possible for an epic send-off.

All league members are welcome to come by, hang out, & spectate during the marathon leagues, even if they aren't throwing! Sunday's marathon league will end right before the Closing Party, so we encourage everyone to stick around and join the party following the playoff finals. We hope to see you there!

Austin Farewell Weekend

The Big Axe Marathon League is on Saturday, 5/24, and Standard Marathon League and Austin Closing Party are on Sunday, 5/25. Use the calendar in the booking widget below to navigate to Saturday, 5/24 and purchase your Big Axe Marathon League ticket.

Event Details

  • Saturday, 5/24

    • Big Axe Marathon League, 11:00am-7:00pm

      • Each player will throw 16 Big Axe matches followed by a double-elimination playoff! We need a minimum of 12 members to run the league but will accomodate as many as possible, and everyone will make the playoffs (even if we have more than 16 throwers!)

      • Matches will be scored under the IATF Standard Ruleset, with Urban Austin's signature 1.5 Rotation tiebreakers.

  • Sunday, 5/25

    • Standard Rules Marathon League, 10:00am-6:00pm

      • Each player will throw 20 matches followed by a double-elimination playoff! We need a minimum of 12 members to run the league but will accomodate as many as possible, and everyone will make the playoffs (even if we have more than 16 throwers!)

      • We'll be playing the classic Standard ruleset in the spirit of including as many Austin league members as possible. This league falls after Round 1 and will count towards throwers' IATC 2026 qualification!

    • Closing Party, 6:00pm-11:00pm

      • Come celebrate together one last time! We'll have all sorts of fun activities, including some of our Beerlympics and other axe throwing Skills games. We'll also have other party games set-up like Flip Cup, cornhole, Giant Jenga, and more. Oh, and did we mention KARAOKE?

      • There will be a crawfish boil and likely some grilling as well! Drinks will be BYOB as always, and please bring food to share for a classic league potluck!

Throwers are allowed to register for one or both marathon leagues, and throwers who participate in both marathon leagues get FREE entry to the Closing Party! Just enter the code FREEPARTY when adding your Closing Party ticket to your cart.
