Urban Axes was founded and is still owned by three expat Australians and one American, and we have all watched the unfolding wildfire crisis in Australia from the US, anxiously waiting on news and updates from family and friends in Australia. Thankfully, the recent rain has tempered the immediate danger of the wildfires, but the task of rebuilding homes and supporting those who lost family members will be expensive and long. January 26th is Australia Day – the Australian equivalent of July 4th. On Australia Day to do our part to support the recovery efforts, we’ll be doing launching a special limited release t-shirt with all profits going to the Australian Red Cross’s Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund. We’re also be running our Clutches for Australia donations with $1 donated for each clutch hit from January 25-31st at all Urban Axes Locations! You can help by donating directly to the Australian Red Cross via our fundraiser post on Facebook (details below).

Dan Milbourne, our Philly-based Aussie graphic designer of The Bunyip Collective, has designed a limited release t-shirt for us for free, with all profits from t-shirt sales also going to our fundraiser. We’ll release it for Australia Day on January 26th, so check back after that date for a link where you can get one!
When someone hits their clutch (from a group event or in leagues) they will get to write their name on a green clutch sticker and hang it up on our wall. Public walk-ins will also get 3 clutch donation attempts. League members are encouraged to match our donation, or to raise money from friends/family for each clutch. The league member with the highest donations will receive a free league for Season 2!
